Whilst I have neither neat paintings nor classic photos saved, I very much enjoyed looking through this thread. Whilst most are self explanatory, I had to google Phoebe Snow. I guess she was the first pin up girl for a railroad!
I've seen a guy dressed like that SF buffalo dancer in recent UK news , although the circumstances were not as friendly and much more controversial (say no more)
I do have somewhere the majority of the magazine series (I think I'm missing a couple of issues IIRC) of Railway Wonders of The World published in 1935-36.
