No licensing issues but I'm not sure if he is still around.

Skip “Cajon Pass” and get “Cajon-Mojave” (http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewt ... on.+Mojave) - it’s way better and more current (besides being damned good work) and get Tehachapi Pass. While they are two separate routes, they share the Mojave Yard and pretty much covers ALL of the LA Basin. Neither provide “BNSF” labeled products, so, no licensing issues.

It looks great, but as Steven's and Cajon pass are required then we non-US users still have those licensing issues

Appreciate the info gtrtroger, but as Nacho says the "Cajon-Mohave" you linked to still requires Cajon and Stevens by DTG.. !*hp*!

I have several friends that are not in the US that have Cajon Pass. Is that something new that you can't get it worldwide? At one time it was stock with the game.

cajon was available then was withdrawn and is now not. I bought my digital code via Amazon and Steam accepted the code this was about 3 years or so ago. I have seen the code listed in one of the “bargain” sites but cannot remember which, it was not expensive so worth the gamble that Steam will still honour the code.

Cajon won't be available outside the US, but since it was part of the core route package for many years a lot of people abroad have it. Stevens Pass and Marias Pass were only available for sale for a short time worldwide, which is why far fewer people have it. In theory I think just having the US Loco & Asset pack will be enough, unless the route uses stuff like the Cajon Pass TimeOfDay files. If it does, it's a pretty simple fix that just involves renaming a few files and changing some references.

Unless I missed it Cajon doesn't say anything about not being available outside the US as opposed to the Steven's Pass which clearly say not available outside the US.

To me outside of the US that link doesn't take me anywhere

This make sense, I didn't get to buy any of those.
A somehow related question: if I get someone in the US to gift me Steven's or some other US only route, will I be able to play it outside of the US?

I've noticed that 3d Train Stuff lists some locomotives on these routes - are they standalone from 3d Train Stuff or included ones from Train Sim (example SD70s)?

3D Train Stuff is for MSTS and not Railworks

Not exactly : All below
http://www.3dtrains.com/products/rw/
is for TS. The F7 is more detailed like the version by Kuju. But is not worth as the sound is outdated and it does not even show RW3-effects (lights, no flare).
