ScaleRail Switches

Hiya,

Where in the folder structure can I find the extra switches with ScaleRail, and what are their names?

Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\3DTrains\ScaleRail\RailNetwork\SR_Default\Junctions

You'll need to edit the SR TrackRule to use one of the other targets for each editing session. The animated targets are as follows:

SR_133W1_HJct_Derail - High Target, Derail
SR_133W1_HJct_R - High Target, Red
SR_133W1_HJct_Y - High Target, Yellow
SR_133W1_LJct_Gr - Low Target, Green/Red
SR_133W1_LJct_Gy - Low Target, Green/Yellow
SR_133W1_LJct_Wr - Low Target, White/Red
Cheers!

I was always wondering about that.

What do you edit though? I mean in the trackrule?

I have a few sidings that use low red/green but I just put default. Now I know this I would love to change it.

Hiya Hack,

What do I need to put as the Animation ID for these? I'm sure I've found the file but I'm not sure what the file extension should be.

I once tried cloning the track rule, modifying it to use the Derail switch... it seemed simple enough to do, but I couldn't get the switch to appear (I forget my exact results). Any tips/experience would be appreciated.

I got it to work. What I did is just editing the top one with the one you want to switch. Convert it to .xml, edit, convert back to .bin and start railworks and clear the cache.

I'll give it another try. Thanks for the pic; is the first time I've seen what it looks like. What I'm really looking for though is the little "bump" type of derailer that fits against one rail and sets the car off onto the ground.

As far as I know, you can't have a track piece like that, but you can model a static object to be there though.

Animation ID: Switch

The Animation ID is the same for all SR stands, so no need to edit beyond the default Geometry ID.

Look for: RailNetwork\SR_Default\Junctions\SR_133W1_HJct_R.IGS

Change to: RailNetwork\SR_Default\Junctions\SR_133W1_Derail.IGS
Cheers!

Why does the ATSF only have three diffrent ones?

Derail
Tall red
Low rg

Because those were the most common types found on the Santa Fe.
