Have to support the independent modelers because without them, all we have is DTG, and they have never displayed a big steam focus.

For the first time unfortunately, this wont be a first day buy in, but it is definitely on the MUST buy list :D

Mike's making a big boy??? Oh? This is exciting!

Tho I gotta say, seeing 4014 in the flesh is a real treat now that its up and running again. Suggest all in here go see it ASAP!

Nice it was released today! Can't wait to try it out tonight.

Will have to simulate some runs from Cheyenne to Laramie on my 50s route and then pretend like im sleeping in the caboose from Laramie to Evanston, pick up the train and go from Evanston to Ogden!

I have to wait a few weeks unfortunately *!sad!* The original release info indicated that both the Challengers and the Big Boy had been updated - what has been done since the original IHH and DTG releases?
If it gets your stamp of approval, it cant be all bad *!lol!*

The route itself looks nice. There are some issues with some of the locomotives. Hopefully I can take a dive into the files and figure out how to fix some of the annoyances.

The whole of the rolling stock is a disgrace. The BB and Challenger cab are so dark you can't see any of the controls. The BB runs out of water in about ten minutes. The F7 horn can only be heard about a hundred feet away and sounds like it's either fouled or the call of a sick moose. The rolling stock has wheels sounds way too faint and if you are on camera eight long after the train is gone there is still this weird residual sound that doesn't go away. I would not recommend this thing until a lot of fixes are made or it's on sale for half price.
The route itself looks fine other than you can't see the signal lights until you are right on top of them.

Now it's turning in his favor. This route is ideal for running his BB, whenever it's published.

As for the F7s... a-swapping we go!

Thanks for the frank review. You have to wonder where the QA was on this. They need to get users not developers involved, because we see things slightly differently. (speaking from experience having done route testing in the past) Will just hang off and watch. Surprising given Milepost's body of work.

*!!thnx!!*

I think this was a"Rush to Market" job, to coincide with the release of TS2020 & to build off some of the "buzz" of Big Boy's Summer & Fall Tour. **!!2cents!!**

I already posted in the other thread, but this was definitely rushed thru QA, it's a shame.
I ran a copy of it on a friends computer and blew through a red signal within the first 5 minutes because you couldn't see it, even with the headlights and ditchlights on full. (I was using the JointedRail UP SD40-2s.)
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you really, really want it to run the UP steam engines on.

The old rubberband effect is back when driving BB. I was driving the first BB scenario and braked to slow down from 45 to 35 mph and when I released the brakes I got skyrocketed forward up to about 50 mph losing points for exceeding the 35 mph speed limit and also lost points for driver error or something like that.

Are the couplers being pulled out of their sockets?

Still no official acknowledgement of any of the reported issues or word of a patch?

Going to hold off for a while and see what develops, although some of the screenshots have been impressive !!*ok*!!
