. . . but having a pop at others simply for having a different view is hardly going to encourage said people to change their stance, or engage in more positive support such as firing up the route editor once more. (Though maybe I will surprise "yawl" in that respect, eh?).

Hi Vern

I've re-read most of this thread and the closest to an insult I can find was 'grumpy old men', and that wasn't applied to anyone personally over on Trainsim, just collectively. I think anyone reading the TS2020 thread over there would agree with that description - just 'northern' banter.

My railway photos are back - you can access them from this thread viewtopic.php?f=24&t=21667a . Lots of UK steam and early diesels from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

I for one am looking forwards to Run8 v3, to make good use of my new RailDriver.

And I still follow the slow but steady progress of Open Rails with interest.

TS2020 will be nice too, even if this year's novelty is only configurable eye candy. Thanks to last year's 64 bits we now can have larger routes with more trains. Hoping for Tehachapee Pass, Tomcat and Minerman's routes to be completed.

I've sort of given up on TSW, way too constrained in game play, no user creativity, and still full of bugs and conservative design choices. Pretty graphics if you overlook all the over brightness, popping, etc.

Trainz will forever be a love-and-hate product. Suddenly my pristine, virgin TS2012 will not update anymore and I am tired of jumping all those hoops to get it running again.

Overall, we should be glad old fashioned train sim kind of games are still being supported, by small commercial companies or dedicated volunteers, for us 'grumpy old men' are slowly dying and there are too few kids really interested and committed to keep the tradition alive.

Well, today is the day.... I hope that with a simple restart of Steam everything should be good to go... But before I do, I gotta back up my routes. !DUH! *!rolleyes!*

12:00 CDT so if you are on EDT it would be 1:00. You guys in Indiana are still on kinda strange time depending on where you're at or did you do away with all that?

People don't even read the last post if they are posting on the thread.

All information is listed in the TS2020 manual on page 20 located in the manual folder in Railworks. All the shader settings are accessed through the Pause control on the HUD. RWEnhancer has more options but the new camera controls the effects are made in-game. To me, the only one I find interesting is the ability to change FOV. The color settings are great. they really can make a difference by making it vibrant.
