16-645E F45 Problems

Unread postby PNWR1854 » Wed Feb 21, 2018 11:23 pm

Well, the RPM is stuck. It doesnt move from idle, even if the actual loco moves. On the mrl version, the left ditch light stops working after a few flashes. The horn on the MRL version is fine but on the BN version, the one on the inside is fine, but on the outside, it's a different pitch and sounds like the original horn. Can anyone help? !*don-know!*

This is using the Searchlight Simulations upgrade pack? ]

First I would go to your settings, clear the cache & restart and try again.

If the problem persists I would suggest hitting up BNSFdude or bnsfsubdivision on here, or using the 'contact us' form on their website https://www.searchlight-simulations.com/

There's an update available for download to fix the ditchlights and Input mapper.

https://www.searchlight-simulations.com/emd-20-645e3

I advice you to have a read through the operating manual in case you missed something.

I re-installed it, and none of the problems were fixed. I tried the trouble shooting methods and they didnt work. !*not-ok*!

Interesting. I just tested it on two fresh installs of the game and no issues. Ditchlights have been fixed, Input mapper for the wipers, no problems with the rpm either. The horn might sound the same but it is not nor is the external out of pitch.

I thought someone mentioned in the other thread that there are known problems with all of these packs with the RPM because of the scripting. Everything else works fine with these packs, it's just the RPM not always sensing what notch the throttle was set to that happens regularly. Some are worse than others, for example the GEVO pack seems to work 95% of the time, while the 710G3B pack is maybe 60-70% of the time, and the F45 is closer to 30% of the time. I'm not trying to criticize the products, just hoping we can help find a way to get the script working right 100% of the time.

This is a very rare occurrence here and when it happens I hit the f2 key and then all is well again.

Ditchlights and input mapper work, but the RPM is stuck and simply will not move. Ive tried everything but it won't fix. What about the outside horn? is there a fix for it?

The moment I post this and go to record a video, the problems solve themselves. *!rolleyes!* I'll probably just install a custom horn.

You clear this flag using the Windows explorer. Google it, lots of how-tos out there.
