Feather River FP7

Unread postby JohnS » Wed Feb 21, 2018 8:16 am

So I've had this on my hard drive and finally wanted to try it out. I started with the [FP7] 1. Train 17 Westbound scenario. Well I noticed that the throttle seems a little weird. the engine doesn't load in Notch 2. Meaning the amps drop to zero "0" when throttle is in notch 2. Is there a fix for this or can someone point me where to fix the issue?

IDK John.... I saw your post, so I went and tried it....multiple times without your result. I tried multiple stops and starts.....still no joy. Don’t know what too tell you, but, I gave it a try. Sry.

Mine does the same thing yours does John. I never noticed the odd thing about the notch2 although being a big hood fan I noticed that this guy always took a lot more throttle to get it moving than any of the other ones. Sooo I went and looked in the simulation folder. There is a file FP7A_TractiveEffortVsSpeed.dcsv. It has way goofy numbers compared to the Feather River F7 or the F9 that's in this pack. I took the F9A one moved it into the FP7 simulation folder and did the old .orig suffix on the FP7A one named above then renamed the F9 one to FP7A and wolla! It now works properly.

Perfect that's what I'll do then. Thanks to both for the input.

Since we're on the topic of the FP7, any time I dump the air (go into emergency), the sounds of the dynamics kick in?? Anyway to stop it from doing that? Aside from renaming the dynamic sounds so that it cant correctly reference them. I haven't checked out if the F9 does this too. And until I get TS up and running again I have to wait on this.
