He had his program of Train Simulator 2017 on his MSI gaming laptop. He asked me if he have to purchase new simulator. I told him that he shouldn't buy unless I am wrong. Also he said that should he contact DoveTail Games about this. I told him that he should wait till I get a reply from anyone here about this. If he is getting a free update of new simulator and tell me how to get the free update in Steam.
Thank you,
John

Thank you for your reply and will tell my friend that he have to contact Steam via email. For me I don't have any issues with Train Simulator 2018 and it was installed on the first day of the release. Everything look good with no problem. I am not quite sure about my friend till I see him in person with his laptop including the program of Train Simulator 2017 inside his laptop and see why he can't get the update of Train Simulator 2018? Also I do know that he had another simulators in his laptop with Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition and other games too.
Thank you,
John
