From the western end of the route towards New York to well inside both the NYNH Cedar Hill Freight and Engine maintainence Yards.

The loco and consist look absolutely stunning. The lack of catenary on the Springfield
is probably the reason the scenarios are for the NY/NH. Quick Drive might not be an option.

Thanks a lot for the screenshots, looks like it will be just the job then for this electric loco, I'll put it on my 'to buy' list.

OK. I ran the scenario from New Haven through to the Cedar Hill yards and, yes, it is all under the wires,
so EF-4 scenarios are possible, at least for that section. And it would look so good and fit right in among all the AI stock and
the period detail. I'm sure it will look just fine on the NY/NH line too.
Really looking forward to this beautifully weathered pack. Great work.

Any chance of EP-4 and EP-5 passenger motors to go with this freight motor?

As indicated in words and screenshots by several posters, VNHRR is thoroughly electrified. In fact, I've been wishing for an electric loco to use in scenarios for this route since its debut. And finally there will be one. Thanks, DTG for providing it.

From my best estimate there is only about 6-8 miles of electrified line on the VNHRR.

And, by gar, you're correct -- but then, Kroger already noted that in an earlier part of this thread. Moreover, many yard areas are not electrified, so switching scenarios would have to use diesel for sorting and electric for mainline use, which could prove interesting. However, I remember that when I was making switching scenarios for the VNHRR, I looked for electric engines with pantographs to use as AI power moving along the mainlines.

I apologize for questioning your estimate.

In regards to electrification at Cedar Hill Yard (New Haven), this from the TrainSimulator.com article on the subject:

"Certainly, one of Cedar Hill’s most fascinating aspects was that it stood astride the New Haven’s electrified main line (extending west to New York City and Oak Point Yard in the Bronx) and the remainder of the New Haven route system which was entrusted to diesel (and before that, steam) propulsion. As a result, the portions of the yard serving trains arriving from or departing to New York were electrified with overhead catenary. Primarily, this involved what was known as the “New York and Maybrook” arrival and departure yards, portions of the engine serving facilities, and a set of loop tracks providing a path for electrics to move between the engine terminal and catenary-equipped yards."
