Beacon/Maybrook Line signals help

Unread postby PennCentral670 » Thu Feb 09, 2017 11:12 am

Hi, I just want to let you know that I'm making the Beacon Line from Beacon, NY to Danbury, CT for TS set in the Conrail era, late 1980s, early 1990s but I have one problem, signals. I need help finding where signals are along the line since I'm having trouble finding them. If anyone has any reference to this that would be pretty helpful thanks!

What you are looking for would be a 'track chart' for the line. These used to be fairly prevalent in older railroading up until the 80's. They show every grade change, bridge, culvert, tunnel, and most trackside infrastructure like signals and rr crossings.

I am not familiar with the Conrail division names, but you should be able to find a track chart on this site:

http://www.multimodalways.org/archives/rrs/CR/CR%20Track%20Charts/CR%20Track%20Charts.html

Rail fan depot sells copies of the 1981 Conrail Track charts for $15. If you can't find a free copy in the link above you could always pay for theirs.

I hope this helps.
