Thank you AmericanSteam!

Hey y'all. Afraid I've hit an issue with the route: my main computer is not well. For more details check out my other thread "Update on the Steamers *!greengrin!* ". To put it simply here:

My computer's kaputt. I'm working off my pad. Sometime my computer will be fixed. The question is: when? I don't know, but hopefully soon.

In the meantime, I've continued to study anything I could find about Donner Pass so that I can hit the ground running when my computer does work again, finding out all sorts of things, like the various UP train symbols going over the pass, which to my surprise include several empty coal trains which only run "as needed" and an empty oil train between Bakersfield and Carr (NOT TankTrain). I found 2 sources which you can find:

Here: http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/U ... it_Symbols

and here: https://sites.google.com/site/norcaltra ... ss-symbols

Also I found bits of trivia, like there is no turntable at Norden. The turntable there was torn out and is now on display at the museum in Roseville. Also the trench is 33 feet deep and around 50-55 feet wide, which will help tremendously when trying to lay the track at Reno.

This project is by no means dead; when I have a working computer again and not just a pad I will happily get back to work.
