Turntable derail

Unread postby render2017 » Wed Jun 01, 2011 8:32 am

I am using the G-Trax turntable in my own route and when testing get derailments. It is only certain tracks and only one brand of engines. All tracks and all but one brand seem to work Ok. The track I am using is scalerail wooden sleeper yard and all tracks are the same and all are completely level. Most are straight for some distance from the TT. The engines giving me trouble are Britkit USRA engines. I have tested various other tender engines (Both US and UK) with no trouble on any track. And the Britkits will come and go from the turntable on all tracks going forward. But on three tracks going reverse the tender derails. I cannot see any reason for it. As I intend to use the USRA locomotives extensively I cannot just ignore this unusual problem. I have also checked the profile of each track (Type speed etc) all the same.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I had a thought so tested a Britkits USRA on the Portland Terminal TT, it derails there too. I can only assume it may be a Britkits issue. Anyone else had this problem?

Hmm...a strange thing.

I had no problems with the PT turntable so far.
As you said, it's most likely a problem of the engines.

You can also try to contact G-TraX: http://gtraxsims.com/problem1.htm
