Well there is either a problem with the main file with the BN1 or the textures for the model are damaged in some way. I tried moving the BN1's Textures into a copy of the default folder (Which I named "Burlington Northern E8a") and it was still showing the default "Family Central Lines" textures. It refused to load any new textures.

Are you talking about the ones from the library or the ones from the link I gave you?

I would read the first section.

Thanks for the insight. I'll talk a look at at later. However i still want to poke around the bin and xml files of the BN1. Hopefully I can find a way to fix this and in turn help those who are also having this same problem.

I looked into what the BN1 was using for the shape file. I found this string that was a little odd.

<GeometryID d:type="cDeltaString">BritKits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\E8\BN1\Engine\[00]E8A-db-RW3</GeometryID>

this [00] part is on quite a few of these strings so I am wondering why they are there. I don't want to mess with them if there is nothing wrong with this [00] part of the string.

This in all of the versions that I have downloaded so far. Is there any reason why there is a [00] line in the string. There is no file that starts with [00] in anyversion I have downloaded so far. At this rate I am starting to think that I should do my own repaint of the Burlington Northern E Units as well as a few CB&Q E Units. I already have plans for a few Frisco repaints (It's my hometown railroad). The BN1 has been so troublesome for everyone who has tried to use it and we haven't heard a word from the original creator. I feel that at this point we need to start from scratch.

This my "Burlington Northern" .bin (copied default).

<GeometryID d:type="cDeltaString">BritKits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\E8\Burlington Northern\Engine\[00]E8A-ndb-RW3</GeometryID>

I don't want to sound rude, but what I told you does work and it looks like you haven't done that yet. Also there is already a CB&Q repaint for the E7 (Freeware).

It's okay. I honestly have no idea of what I am doing anyway. !*don-know!* Because of my Autism I am a very visual learner and simply reading instructions doesn't help me all too much. I have tried looking up videos of how to reskin an existing locomotive but there is nothing out there. Couple that with the fact that I want to add radio chatter in an another scenario that I am working on I have a lot on my plate.

I'll join in on the questions. Did you get my PM? Did you load that version? I know it works because it's the one in my game right now.

I got it but the locomotive somehow changed from BN1 to CandO E8. I am not sure what happened. Was I also supposed to have a premade consist as well because I don't think I had that either.

I'm sorry. I surrender. just went and looked at what I sent you and what you are saying is impossible. And if you are asking if it is QD compatible yes it is but the consist is only for the light engine.
