Those images are not from TS2017. They are from the new Train Sim World ( TSW ). You should change the title of this thread or you are really going to confuse people.

Here's the link you need, including video http://train-simulator.com/the-future-o ... imulation/

For Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul, they will feature a GP38-2, SD40-2, AC4400CW and the Sand Patch Grade *!greengrin!* !*drool*! **!!bow!!** !*brav*!

This almost defeats the purpose of searchlight simulations model.

Certainly does not and even though I could probably point you out every single spot that's wrong, I simply won't because first of all, no one want's hear it and second, I think that they did a great job on it anyway. Besides. I didn't see a GEVO mentioned? Isn't a GEVO essentially sort of based on an AC44? Hmm. *!greengrin!*

No TSW is a completely different train sim which will be released next February if all goes well. It is not part of and not compatible with TS2016/2017. It is a completely different train sim. Please do not confuse the two. They are different. Just like TS2016/2017 is different from Grand Theft Auto.

Certainly not. TSW is a different sim. The Searchlight Simulations model is for the one we have. And is awaited by many.

OK great! That's good that we will still have one for railworks. It just slipped my mind that TSW is separate due to the name of the thread.

This is how I interpreted the announcement:
TS2017 which is released on September 15 2016 is the usual annual update that we get around this time and TSW (UE4 64-bit) is also coming a little later - beta in Dec 2015 and possible release Feb 2016? or have I misread that?

From DTG:
"This year, the annual iteration of the existing TSX core engine, our Standard Edition of Train Simulator 2017 features four of our newest routes from Germany, North America, Great Britain and France:"

and

" The Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul Beta will start in December 2016 and is just the beginning of the journey. We’ll be introducing the other key territory routes as and when they become available."

It appears the GP38-2 and GP40-2 have solenoid operated horn.
