Trouble on the Main Scenario

Unread postby micaelcorleone » Tue May 17, 2011 10:29 am

Hello all.

I've just uploaded my first public Scenario for Railworks. It's called Trouble on the Main.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trouble on the Main - Scenario for the Wilamette Pass/Cascade Sub route for RailWorks by Timm (micaelcorleone) Schulze
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this scenario you will drive a long centerbeam consist from Wilamette Canyon Siding to Klamath Falls Yard.
Everything seems normal on this day. No problems so far. But always await the unexpected if you work on the Railroad.

Attention: Due to the long duration of this scenario and the use of long consists, it is strongly recommended to save several times during the scenario.
Otherwise your progress gets lost in case of a game crash.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Engine: Dash 9 UP
Difficulty: Hard
Duration: about 100 minutes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
required route:
-Wilamette Pass route by John Lippai (viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1706)

required payware:
-RSC Dash 9 DLC from Steam
-RSC SD70 Volume 1 DLC from Steam
-RSC SD70 Volume 2 DLC from Steam
-RSC US Freightcarpack (included in the RSC SD40-2 Widenose DLC)

required freeware:
-Union Pacific/Southern Pacific repaints for the Dash 9 by Michael (bobbel66) Zimmer (Railworksamerica File Library: http://railworksamerica.com/cgi-bin/dl- ... l?file=136)
-Repaints for the USFC Centerbeams from Digirails (http://s1.zetaboards.com/DigiRails_Forums/index/)
-G-TraX Doublestack Containercars (http://gtraxsims.com/)

note:
You can also substitute rollingstock you don't own with RWTools (http://www.rstools.info/).

I would like to thank all developers of the payware and freeware products in this Scenario for their work.
A special thank goes to John Lippai for his outstanding route.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disclaimer:
I am not reponsible for any damage this scenario or any of the required freeware/payware does to your system and/or RailWorks. You install them
at your own risk.
This scenario was tested on my system and it worked well. If it doesn't work or for feedback and questions, please contact me in the thread on
RailworksAmerica.com (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2267).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope Hawk can upload it soon and that you have some fun with it.
If there are any problems please tell me here. I would also be very happy about some feedback from you. Please write me here what you think.

Thank you. !*salute*!

No big deal. Just a "little" scenario for you all.
Yes, a lot of good stuff coming in the next months. And don't forget about the other Amtrak locos that will come this year.

Has anyone tried my scenario yet? What's your judging?

I ran the first half of the scenario last night and it worked just fine - no problems. It is well designed and prototypical. I felt like I was employed by the railroad. Thanks for your good work. Hope to finish the scenario soon.

I downloaded your scenario but I can't get the Willamette Pass Route to run. I keep getting the SBHH error on loading either your scenario or the Free roam that came with the route. **!!bang!!** !*don-know!*

Hmm. Do you have Scalerail, Scaleraod and the SMM Digital Searchlights and Xings?
Here is a full list and Assets to download: http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1706

Yes have Scalerail (all the HR-Versions), Scaleroad and the SMM Digital Searchlights and Xings plus the Asset pack. RW Tools shows some missing assets but AFAIK nothing that should be causing the crash. I wish RW would come up with more descriptive errors.

I guess I'm the only one in the dark! Where do I find this route? I only see screenshots when I search the forum.

Guess I've got a timing problem. The BNSF AI stalled south of the siding where the meet should happen and wouldn't move again even though he had both signal and turnout in his favor. I made an assumption that the dispatcher gave me permission to pass the red signals at restricted speed north of Chiloquin. Should I have waited for a yellow? That could explain messing up the meet with the BNSF.
