New scenario won't load some cars?

Unread postby Railroy19 » Thu Apr 14, 2016 7:06 am

I just bought a scenario pack and some of the scenarios wont load right because I get the dreaded Edit or exit window opening up, saying can't load certain pieces of rolling stock
like for example woodchip hoppers and some other cars. How do you get these missing cars to show up for the scenario?
I thought I had most of the cars or engines we have for this game. I have no idea how I could load these missing cars or even place them on the right track or in the right order.
Anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem?

I normally just move on to another scenario.
Thanks.
Bob

Well you don't have whatever these are. What it's telling you is they are not in your library. If you would share what they are perhaps one of us could tell you where to get them and then the scenario would place them for you.

Buzz is right -- we need a full list of the missing rolling stock, and I'll add that you should tell us the name of the scenario and the route.

I just searched my Asset folder for "woodchip" and found five different WoodChipGondola folders, one each in the following places:
1) RSD\SD70UPHeritage
2) GNTX\StevensPass
3) DTG\Miami\RailVehicles
4) RSC\Dash9Pack01
5) RSC\MariasPass

The creator of the scenario you're trying to load may have used any one of these or some other model. So, you see, the process is a bit trickier than you originally thought, but with more information, including the source of the scenario, someone here can probably help you.

Get back to us, please.

Thank you guys.
OK now that I
know how to solve the problem I can research what cars they are and try to locate the missing rolling stock.
That will keep me out of trouble for a while and maybe I can learn something :)
I did not want to say who made the scenario because I figured it had to be my fault somehow as usual.
Will now get to work and see if I can get it working after I find out what I have missing.

Thanks again OldProf and Buzz for your advice.
