Strange shadow with GP15

Anyone else have this issue before? Everything else works great. No idea what would cause this. Only a minor issue though, not really noticeable while playing.

The shadow cast from utility wire on the right of the screen perhaps?
Cheers!

I think he means the weird shadow under the train. I had a blue shadow under a train once but I don't remember what caused it, sorry.

If he is talking about that you need a texture file called long shadow. It's in a lot of the older locos. Just copy and paste it into this loco's texture folder.

Yes I'm talking about the shadow under the locomotive.

I'll search for that file and see if that works. Thanks Buzz.

I couldn't find a file similar to what you mentioned. But I did see that the GP15 does have this file 'softshade_long.TgPcDx', not sure if that's what you meant?

The softshade_long file is the one you need. get one from the UP Y588 model and it will vanish.

Ok so the file that came with the MoPac GP15 is no good then I'm assuming?

Ill download the Y588 and copy the file from that over and see what happens!

It's likely a problem with the shape. The softshade textures do not carry any alpha information - that part is taken care of through the material settings (SubtractATexDiff), of which the model will need to be updated by the author.

I have David's GP15 and freeware F40PH, and they both have the weird shadow. *!rolleyes!* If it could be fixed that would be awesome!

Has to be something with that original shadow file. I replaced all the shadow files with the UP Y588 file for all of the units I have. Worked perfectly!

Can't wait for those ACRR units you are repainting!
