Unread postby CASO » Sat Nov 21, 2015 4:46 pm

The issue I am having with the S2, it shows up in the editor, but disappear after I save, and only the couplers show up. What can be done to solve this problem?

I'm not sure but maybe you need to turn up your visual settings.

I think this issue has come up before on other locos. I did a quick seach and found replies (pasted below) that resolved the issue.

"If the couplers are showing up the geo file is there. The problem is your bin file is not pointing to the correct set of textures. Usually that's caused by the bin file either being named incorrectly inside or some other call out near the top has the wrong name on it."

I hope your issue can be resolved. I'll look around other forums and see what the solution is.

Question: Is it ALL of the S2's or just one or two in particular that are not showing up?

I checked the .bin file and the .GeoPcDx files...all paths to the textures are set correctly...all namded right. But engine still invincible.
I'm really sad, the sound is really nice, the cab also...but without seeing this engine in 3rd view... !*don-know!*
I tried everything I knew , now I do not know further. *!sad!* And it happens to all, no engine is shown up for me dog.

I made quick drive consists with the Rollout, SP-New and UnPac units and had the same problem with each. Only the couplers are visible.

People,
Try to answer some of Dogmouse questions and maybe we can figure out what your problem is. Merely stating that all you see is couplers is only telling what you see nothing to do with what is wrong. First thing have you tried running the install again?

As I said, no engine. I tried to install it many times, via rwp or via place it per copy and paste after unpacking the rwp.
And my folders look exactly like your folders, exept the Rollout folder. Maybe there is the problem.

There should be a Cabview and an Engine folder under Rollout. The Rollout should contain the same folders and files as in Buzz's screenshot, which unfortunately don't show the contents of the RWA folder.

Re-download the file from RWA and open the .rwp with Winzip, WinRAR or any other archive manager and check its contents.

You need all of the stuff that's in my rollout because most of the others need them.

I dl it again, unpack it with 7zip, and in the Rollout\Engine\Texture folder are the same things like in my screenshot...it don't looks like Buzz' screenshot of his texture folder, and there is no other TgPcDx file called decal_primarynumber_0 in any of the other folders. !*don-know!*

Well then your download was probably incomplete. The file should be 140megs.

It's 140.062, and I figured out that the files that are missing are placed in the UnPac engine texture folder.
But why they are placed there ? And copy and paste this missing files to the Rollout folder doesn't work.
Should I place them there and edit / check the rollout .bin file if the paths are set correctly ? !**conf**!

This is what the rollout texture folder should look like. Just copy and paste it into the rollout.
