After looking around Marc, I think what you've got there could work as a weathered engine with a somewhat lighter shade of blue.
The more pictures I look at, they seem to be a dark, yet bright blue. They are almost a Navy Blue, but there is a particular bright quality about it. **!!2cents!!**

This is as close as I could come to what I remember from way back when, when they were fresh shopped.
It's the same problem with the different shades of Armour Yellow on U.P. In some pics they look a little orange in the yellow, but I noticed those old photos were themselves changing tint with age. !*don-know!*

I'm actually having a hard time deciding on which routes to operate them.

I think you colors are pretty good Jerry. Perhaps a bit more shine before adding any weathering.

Looks like they took a turn in the 'freightbonnet' colors before their final ATSF scheme...

Very nice, though it's not an original saying. I saw that on some tourist trap trinket long ago.

During the beta test period, the pop-up said "Stand close - it's shorter than you think!"

The one I know is "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, Be a sweetie and wipe the seaty." !*roll-laugh*!

Of course the real question is "Why didn't you raise the seat in the first place?" !!jabber!!

JerryC wrote: "If there is one thing that absolutely aggravates the hell out of me it's the glowing cab issue. Yes, that is reason number one for the glass tint. Number two, as is noted by BF, night ain't night in Railworks. It's kind of a purple glow like you would see in the burbs' of a major city.

Now as far as the darkness of the cab, that is both purposeful and subjective. I have two differnt monitors, one it looks a little bright, the other just right. Check your settings. Now for the part done on purpose, In the GP40 I had some trouble with the cab brightness in tunnels and such, so this time I used a different shader on the cab interior than what is usually used. I was going for the dark, grimey look. Another advantage of this shader is that it also washes out the faked shadows when hit by the sun streaming through the windows, a nice effect."

Okay that make sense to me. I'm not familiar with the glowing cab issue, but I'd rather have it dark than glowing I suppose. *!lol!*
Funny you mention about the monitor, on my desktop it looks quite dark, however when its playing through my TV it is much easier to see. Which is the way it should be viewed in my opinion.
