Add trains to penn station

I'm trying to create a scenario using the phase 3 amtrak equipment at Penn station heading to Philadelphia. For some reason I can't add the trains to the platform. I can add them to the open air west of the station but not underground. Is there a way to add them to the underground or do I have to somehow drag the train to the platform. Also, is there a way to start in the yard in queens and drive to philly?
