Coach Sound Enhancement Packs (Amfleet, FEF-3, P70)

Unread postby OpenRailer90 » Fri Aug 28, 2015 12:59 am

I decided to work on a new sound mod that will drastically improve the sounds of the passenger coaches in certain DLC packages that are of relatively low quality. I basically ported over the coach sounds from the Pacific Surfliner/Miami/Commuter DLC and install them on other DLC rolling stock.

Amfleet: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds

FEF-3: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds

P70: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds

Superliner: WIP

Empire Builder: WIP

I have plans to upload the sound patches for the GN Empire Builder packs and all DLC featuring Superliner coaches by next week.

I will also periodically edit this post as soon the files go live on the file library.

Files now live on File Library. In the development to the EB sounds, which ones have coaches included inside as I only own the base Empire Builder pack.

They aren't up to standard.

Certainly ;) I used the interior and exterior proxyxml from the Bombardier Bilevel coaches for the Superliner and Great Northern EB sounds, but the exterior door sounds don't play. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Doors on the Superliners probably are under a different "Control" to trigger the sounds. AFAIK, Superliners don't have chimes for their doors.

I am using the door sound from the RSC MK3 coaches (Door closing has guard's whistle). I have those sounds on the FEF3 coach sounds; if I acquire the DTG Challenger (Is it in .ap pack) I plan to port the sounds there as well if possible.

There isn't a "chime", no, but you can still replace the closing sound of the doors with the MK3 sounds. If you're confused, Superliner doors aren't automatic. You have to pull a big lever to open the doors (in real life).
