Thanks for releasing this! According to the site what exactly are the sounds used from Stevens Pass?

They use the Stevens Pass but it is not essential. Some sounds are still alias to the DLC but you would not notice them if they were gone in the first place.

Beautiful sounds, but as with the P42, I can't afford payware. Great work with the project, though.

do you know what sound alias to Stevens Pass? (I'm thinking there are Stevens Pass specific sounds not found in the Marias Pass, Sherman Hill, etc. folders)

Thanks for noting, however it would be realistic to have the Kuju, Marias Pass, Sherman Hill, NS Coal, Canadian Mtn Passes, NS Heritage, and CSX Marketplace alias those files to their own local folders.

With that I'm guessing these sounds in the Stevens Pass folders are different from the fore mentioned above:
T_ES44_Cab_EBrake_Hiss.dav

T_ES44_AIR_BrakeLocoOn.dav

RF_Diesel.dav

It would also be efficient to have those files in an update be included with the sound package so the pack will not create extra blueprints.

I don't know how DTG licensing works so I for not I will not add those files seeing they were original payware.

Maybe separate proxyxml files for the respective engine (For example: Kuju, Sherman Hill, NS Heritage, Canadian M. Passes, NS Coal ES44AC ProxyXML will alias the respective sound files to their respective base asset paths; Marias, Stevens, and BNSF standalone ES44DC to their respective locations; CSX Marketplace ES44AH with its respective location.)

I don't have all of those which I stated in the installation video. I have everything the way it is so that every ES44 besides the original defaults can use the sounds.

Went for a quick run on the Penn Coal route with these last night and I'm very impressed! I love the P5.

To me sound is as important (if not more important) than visuals in making it feel like you're really there, so I'm glad to see more North American aftermarket sound packs coming available.

Thank you dr1980! And I agree with you 200% mate! I feel sounds are what really makes or breaks a engine. You can have a shiny good model and I mean the best of the best model but if the sounds are below standards then I will refuse to run it until I can get better sounds. So that is what we will try to do here, seeing the jolly ole Brits have Armstrong Powerhouse why not try to start something for us "Mericans".

These sounds are really good! However, my one gripe with these is the horn and bell are waaay to quiet and the engine sounds carry for to long of a distance. Is there a way to edit how far the sounds carry in the proxy files?

Can you post a video of all the horns from external view on a runby?
