North Easter - PA Div. assets

Unread postby QcRail » Sun Aug 23, 2015 5:01 pm

I've installed the North Eastern - PA div. and The route and one of its scenario (a7ba6adc-0ef4-4d80-af26-5078f4ac3038) are working.

BUT at the Beaver River Bridge havoc is among us - someone stole a large portion of the bridge !*roll-laugh*! or is it where «Bridge on the River Kwai» was filmed ? *!twisted!*

I've even installed John Lippai : Trestle Pack_v1 and the missing pieces are nowhere to be found.

Could someone tell me the names of the missing structure pieces and WHERE can I download them; Are there others surprises (by the way I have signal structures but no signal lights) !*hp*!

In think it may be that your scenery detail isn't set to 10. In settings check to see if the slider is at 10 or not, if not set it to 10 and give that a try.

I think your setting is not high, try clicking on settings, then set it to high
Officially retired from train simming as of 2023.

Done that already, and even more, I've tried to pin point each missing structure with route editor and NO OBJECT appears «red high lighted» as any other asset which is pointed to. I systematically run through the route and I boost the visibility of many asset from a setting of one or two (often a vegetation asset!).

Hmm. When you fly around the bridge check closely for a milk bottle, that would indicate a missing asset. If you don't see one it would be best to ask bob, he made the route.

Artimrj asked : «And you have all the ScaleRail freewares and scaleroads right?»
1. I believe so, as many roads are visible, but how does one detect a missing road? and furthermore it should not explain a missing bridge structure!!!
2. Why the sim in editor mode does NOT DETECT the missing pieces ? it should appear if the object is really placed where it should !

Further investigation reveal that the 2 following files are missing from tile -000058 -000004 :
C:\TrainSimulator\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\John Lippai\NS NewRiver Districts\scenery\structures\nrd_bcrb_ptrussspan.bin (Scenery Item) on tile -000058-000004.bin 309.58 794.783
C:\TrainSimulator\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\John Lippai\NS NewRiver Districts\scenery\structures\nrd_bcrb_pylon.bin (Scenery Item) on tile -000058-000004.bin 527.569 773.777
and those 2 files are not within my «John Lippai\NS NewRiver Districts\scenery\structures» folder. Can some one send me these two objects with their respective texture files. If not, do tell me where I can download these missing items

Thanks, QcRail

In your picture you have pylons going across the river with no road. I used Scale Roads on the route. So some of them are missing from your system. You have to go to 3D Trains and download all the freeware stuff. There are several versions of scalerails for free.

You may also need the US and UK assets package that used to be default but are not for sale. Been a long time since I did that route and it uses a lot of old stuff and a lot of stuff that used to be free with the game but now you have to buy some of it or a route that uses them and you get them for free that way.

Thanks Bob,

Indeed, I did not have the latest update or version of scaleroad nor the full John Lippai assets, now I do and all the missing items are in place and working.

This silly omission did give me an idea for a scenario with a bridge section having fallen in the river (after a collision with a river barge) and repairs are in progress and new steel is needed for the job along with cranes and supplies !!*ok*!! Will depend if I can cut a section of one of the double tracks; keep one track working in only for that specific scenario. I know too little in route building to make it happen - if TS2015 will allow such a catastrophe. *!greengrin!*

Again thanks for you help,
