This is looking like a must have! Will bring back happy memories of travelling across the route, more years ago than I care to remember.
For those not familiar with the route, it's regarded as one of the most scenic in the UK definitey on a par with Fort William to Mallaig if not better, especially as you drop down to then along the edge of the shoreline at Loch Carron. The pictures of the station at Inverness ooze atmosphere, especially as the train times (if travelling to/from the area from the south and England) usually put you there at various 0 - Dark - 00 times of day.
Only caveat, as has been noted on UKTS, is that the track texture needs toning down a bit and much of the Kyle line itself should really be laid with old style bullhead jointed rail, much of which is still in situ today.
Certainly inspiring me to think about brushing off the Route Editor and having a crack at another Scottish route myself.
