Amtrak F7's

Unread postby StrategyFirst » Mon Aug 03, 2015 7:56 pm

I downloaded an Amtrak F7 set from here:
http://railworks.banal.net/downloads/downloads.html

And all the files seem to be there. But when I load it up in the editor, nothing shows up on the rails. I see the names there, I click on them, but nothing appears. I don't see anyone else using this pack (as searched on Google), so does that mean that it's just a broken set?

Is there a way to fix it?

1. Yes, I do.
2. That's irrelevant, as the repaints use the default Kuju F7's.

To get these to work you have to place the folders for each engine INSIDE the 'default' folder. Whoever put the folder structure together before uploading missed that step. This kind of thing is unlikely to happen for downloads here at RWA because of the stringent testing process Bob goes through.

Also, you will have to go through the process of taking out the autonumbers.

Thanks, man! *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!*

Now I finally have something to go with the phase I passenger cars! !*YAAA*!

EDIT: I'm gonna work on re-configuring it. I'm getting lots of bugs... nothing happens when I press buttons except for game stuff (menu, HUD, etc.). I can control the engine from the HUD, but I have to do the bell, horn, and sander form inside the cab.

Is it done now? I have 4 upload notices for it. And so you know, you used the same file name each time so I only have 1 copy, that would be the last one you uploaded.

I know. I screwed up so badly when uploading, sorry for that. *!embar*! Yes, everything is there. I double-checked.

I'm always one for finding things to add after I publish them... not that it's great.

Hey,

I have these locomotives downloaded and installed and they look good. The only problem I'm having is with the cabview. The loco motive runs fine with the HUD controls, so I can drive it, and the head out views work fine, it's just the internal cabview. Best way I can describe it, is that the cab interior is there, but the window areas look all streaky and blurred. It's as if the cabview is not generating in the right place inside the loco.

I've tried reinstalling this download and I've used rw tools to look for missing files, but there are none.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I know what you are talking about.

I made a patch/update to this locomotive. That'll fix your issues and upgrade the loco in general. Since it has all the base files, it is recommended that you remove the existing files before loading this.
