man that's a sweet model so far
"If you really needed a diesel locomotive right away, then go ahead and order a ALCO. But if you could wait for real quality, then go for an EMD or a GE".

Consider my vote for Santa Fe

Although; why not both?

I would be happy with either! Maybe make the distinguishing items child objects to make the 'base' model fit as many roads as possible.

Nice, but do we really need it, another EMD? I for one am not tempted to buy this, when ALCo C420 and C630 units are still missing from the game for instance?

Please finish your SD45 range first; ATSF, SP, DRGW, PRR, CSX.

Then the SD45-2 would be a better follow up model that the SD40 as predecessor to SD40-2 mk II/III in my opinion.

Okay...
I was keeping my mouth shut until now... but... we have tons of SD40s already with sound and physics fixes, and reskins available. This kinda reminds me of the flood of SD70 variants.

The American diesels are pretty well covered these days, except for Alco and Baldwin Lima Hamilton products.
I'm surprised no one ever mentions Montreal Locomotive Works in Canada, which was a subdivision of Alco.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

AFAIK the BN Never had SD40's. They just had SD40-2's

E: After asking dad the BN did have SD40's. These were numbered in the low 6300's. I didn't as i have not seen a SD40.
