Barstow - Bakersfield, much like Run8?

Fleta (South Mojave) to Bakersfield, with the Arvin and Creal branches. The Lone Pine branch only extends to the refinery next to the Mojave airport.
Cheers!

Nice shots of the route and great work. Desert routes are my favorite to run....

Actually, that's Mojave's own. Edwards is far too east to be seen.
Cheers!

Fantastic work, Marc! Easily one of the best routes I've ever seen in this sim!

Hey Hack....track route-wise, what decade-era are you shooting for? The searchlight signals tell me you are shooting for the "right" eras (old school). *!greengrin!*

I'm a sucker for this route every time it's made. It's honestly really the only reason I bought Trainz 12. Of course it's another reason (besides physics) that I got Run 8 and have the route for MSTS too.

The shots I like the most are the "Aqueduct City" pic and the North Mojave pics (especially the curve shot). Just the perfect real-life representation of the desert along this route. I especially like the touch of the dirt roads that cut through/break up the desert floor and hills like they really do.

Yes... I know some people find desert routes visually boring. I do understand where they are coming from (Pacific Surfliner is my visually favorite route for Railworks). But it's a treat for those of us that live a couple hours drive from this route and love it. Plus as Cajon Pass shows, desert routes give great frame rates.

Looking awesome Marc! That ScaleRail just looks perfectly at home there. !!*ok*!!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

"Modern" (with liberties) - 2006 to present. However, I left the crossover at Summit switch, modeled the new "restored" depot (the original burned in 2008 before it was completed), and all other structures (and vehicles) are current fare. Track and signals would make it about 2005 or early 2006.
Cheers!

Is it double tracked now?
I'd prefer it single track , as it was in 2002 or so. More fun for scenarios

Tehachapi is only single track between the east switch at Cable, and the west switch at Bena (technically, double track doesn't start until Sand Cut). Double track to just beyond Bakersfield yard, then it's back to single again. From Cable, it's double track east all the way to Mojave yard. Beyond that, it's single track again to Colton or LA, and single track on BNSF to Barstow.
Cheers!
