This will give you the path to the shape file.

All liveries that I have and that work with the freeware version use RS3-sl-RW3.GeoPcDx.
The CN repaint uses RS3-dlh-RW3.GeoPxDx.

I've tried with the Geo files from the Default freeware one but they don't make it show up. can anyone help specify the Geo files required?

All repaints use an alias model, either a default asset that comes included with the game, a locomotive, or, boxcar, etc, or, a 3rd party asset, which is quite often Payware, repaints/reskins aren't freeware sample models, they require the shape files and cab interior files sometimes to be present for them to appear in your editor, which you can only find in the original model and have to do a copy and paste of files from one folder to another.
It would be best if you have a look at the description of a reskin in future to see what alias model is required, unfortunately, the painter doesn't always give the most helpful of instructions and consider everyone who downloads them as though they've had the game for several years and know exactly what files are needed to get the item to show up in the game, which isn't the case for newcomers to the simulator. Never hesitate to come on here and ask for advice in future, we always want to help newcomers enjoy the fun to be had with the game.
