Snow covered units are nice, but winter textures are missing from 99% of all other rolling stock. Also not all routes and assets have proper winter textures, making a winter scenario look very patchy.

Are the snow covered units meant to be stationary, as moving unit have snow and ice accumulated quite differently?

It was probably a good modeling exercise for you guys at VRC, but it won't be a deciding factor for me to buy this pack.

BN's Cascade Green looks good in those screenshots. !!*ok*!!

The more people include winter textures on rolling stock the smaller that "99%" other rolling stock will get. I like the look of them, adds a very pleasant atmospheric feel to it.

Too many factors we cannot even access from the game. Is it snowing? How hard? How warm is the day, warm enough to melt the snow?

I think you probably have guessed from my previous post that we did do something with the snow, but I would rather it be a pleasant surprise (its a minor thing we did) for you to see.

That is the great thing about living in America! You and the one other complainer about the snow will not have your arms twisted to buy it, and I won't have to take time away from dealing with the next repaint to refund your money or explain why I won't send you the download link. It works out great for all of us! !*brav*!

As far as 99% of the rolling stock out there doesn't use snow, why should that concern us? 99% of locomotives and rolling stock don't have correct physics, multiple compartment camera views, start-up routines, or dare I say, toilets. Going along with the crowd is just not our thang, and we are not going to stop pushing simply because it hasn't been done before.

Cheers!

I have a question: I haven't seen one in any of the screen shots, has anyone else had an engineer show up in the cab? Some folks like this, so I "shanghaid" a few folks from the old RailSimulator folder, with the understanding that if the end-user has the Cajon Pass route, they would have an engineer.

In quick drive anyway you need to go and enable Kuju RailSimulatorUS for the guy to show up.
