The UP wanted to bring in one engine to go from the mines direct to the UP main. So after the RWA MoW made sure it was fine, the UP brought in 9001 to haul a coal drag out to Riverside and out on the main.

That CNW leader needs to go to IRM! !*roll-laugh*! I am thinking about getting this route! It looks fantastic from all of the photos I just saw. I need to be money smart, as I was paid last week and only get paid every 2 weeks and have less than 30 dollars left.. xD But I will definitely consider this on my next paycheck! I'm also thinking about the Portland Terminal, because I've toured there and it's a beautiful region, and I'd love to check it out. But this one seems like a winner! It looks fabulous!! Haha. We'll see what I decide in a week or 2..

Here are a few which I took along the route....using all the beautiful Soo Line equipment I could find. Shots include out on the road with an ore train, and within the engine terminal! Hope you enjoy them!

Best Regards,
Galen

Just a little branch on the RWA I've been quietly working on, its a 5 mile branch that goes to a town with many industries. The whole branch has a total of 11 industries which are a grain elevator right at the start of the new branch, log loading site at the very end of the branch, local coal unloading depot in the town (all the rest are in the town actually), piggy back trailer loading/unloading track, team track (mainly for the loading milk into reefers from the local farmers), large grain elevator, agricultural supply depot, cattle loading area, produce packaging facility, ice house, and finally a pickling plant. Along with that is a small yard, a depot, and an engine servicing facility for both steam and diesel.

From the town the branch goes over a small creek that really only flows in the spring from the spring thaw, then at the end of the line comes to the large pulpwood log loading camp. Enjoy1
