Route markers

Unread postby cnw1970 » Tue Aug 12, 2014 4:00 pm

I used RW tools to set up my new route. The folder structure is all there. The lon/lat location is correct. I had RW tool convert my kml file into csv file for my route markers, and they are in my route marker folder. When I go to use them in the game, they are not there. The only ones that are available to use are the markers from the castle rock railroad. And I have also chosen my markers in the right hand flyout window. Any idea what I might be doing wrong??

You can see them in the fly-out panel?

No, the only markers available to use are the castle rock markers. I meant that i selected my files in the provider menu. And I don't understand why the castle rock markers are on my route to begin with. It's a new route with nothing but flat terrain, I haven't done anything to it yet.

What route template did you use when you first created the route?
Usually you'll get the route markers that come with the template.

I created a new template for the route I'm building. I'm modeling a portion of Chicago & Northwestern's Western Division that ran across northern Nebraska. It was nicknamed "The Cowboy Line". I'm modeling a section from Long Pine, NE to Valentine, NE. I have my SRTM loaded and my named markers. Still having problems getting my series markers to show up.

Show up in the fly-out or the actual marker flags on the terrain?

Yes, the named markers for locations show up in the editor, but the series markers which is the actual rail path does not show up.

Usually they are "sticky" when new.

Jump to one zoom in Toggle F6 a couple of times & the flag *should* appear. Occasionally there's some other gimmik that might be needed, can't think of it off-hand.

Also - F7 will display the labels - if those show, then it's just a matter of convincing the flags to render properly
