Mike did post somewhere where he mentioned moving around mid year but I have a feeling 844 and its sisters are off with DTG and the beta testers at the moment. There doesn't seem to have been any posted progress for a couple of weeks now either here or the FB page. Would like a look at the promised liveries (fingers crossed for greyhound but I am not too hopeful )

This one's definitely on my wish list, looks absolutely jaw-dropping from the photos. If the Consolidation was good (and it is, still having a blast with the UP and MoPac repaints) I bet the FEF's going to really knock our socks off.

Technically, you can get FEF's for TS2014 right now for free if you download the MSTS freeware pack, plus the 9000's and so much more to broaden one's selection of steam power. That being said, I'm still buying Smokebox's one too, he makes great stuff!

It's almost ready for beta, bar a few minor details that I'll probably finish between today and tomorrow. I've been battling against a wonky computer (spent two days mending it) as well as preparing for the move back to Britain (amazing how much there is to do, to tidy things up here), so progress has been slower than I'd hoped.
Once it's in beta, I'll have to limit the info, because of the NDA.

I was "this" close to doing it But there's already plenty that can go wrong

I'm looking forward to getting the move over and done. I just hope all my belongings reach me eventually (they're going to be spending some time in London, in a warehouse somewhere). In the meantime, I'll be relying on my broken laptop - hence the urgency for getting the FEF-3 done before I leave here!

Hey Mike, I have a question about the FEF.

Do you plan on having a version without the smoke deflectors?


I thought it might be pretty cool for freight operations on Sherman Hill, and other UP routes.

It's done via a code in the train number you enter for the locomotive when setting it up in the scenario editor.
