Another Question This time signals.

Unread postby kevman479 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 6:39 pm

I am using BNSF signals. Well the ones like those. Mine just say tall 1h 1t, 2 head 2h 1t and so on. But I am stuck on what signals to use in a couple places. I did watch Pike's tutorials and they were great. most of my signals I have installed already work just as expected.

I need a 3H 3T that works just like the others but don't have one. I also need a 2h 2t but the only thing I have is the 2h 2te.

for the first on. On this line there are two places that have the main line and two passing sidings. I want to signal those coming from the main showing which siding I am going into. But the 3h 3t I have all have speed limits attached and they don't actually show me which siding I am going to. Any suggestions?

I have a turnout that needs to be covered in both directions. neither is exactly on exit. There is passenger traffic going both ways out of the turnout. The problem is that no matter what the next signal shows the turnout signal always shows green just past the sensor (for lack of a better word) and it should at least stay red until the train completely leaves that block.

And last, I have a grade track crossing. What signals do I use for this so when a train is in the cross all for lights turn red?

Thanks
Kevin

Okay I got everything working except the grade track crossing. Don't know what signals to use for those.

I do have another question and may need to put this in it's own thread. Do AIs obey the red signals? I just ran scenario in which I moved the player train into a postion between the AI train and it's destination. It ran a red signal a crashed into me. Is that suppose to happen?

They should, but not all signals packaged with the sim are restrictive, some are permissive and it is possible that an AI would continue through a permissive signal.

!*cheers*!
