ArcGIS would be an option and you could get away with a free trial for 60 days. Simply creat an account and it will unlock your download link. http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arc ... free-trial

Thanks for that information, Tori. My primary interest is along the Gulf Coast, amking it necessary to get into 1/9 arc sec data or better to pick up any meaningful relief. I'd started working on a project in MSTS, but it was one of a number of unrecoverable files as a result of a crash that was due to a motherboard issue. When I clear the current backlog out, I'll have another look at it.

So I have ARCGis and so far I am able to get all of my data in layers in ArcMap. Are there any tutorials/ways I can get the layers to become one BIL file I can use in TS2014? Anyone have any ideas? I remember looking around and finding something but I totally forgot where I saw it. Anybody know?

Hey Ken,

In ArcMap:
- Open up the ArcToolbox
- Go to Data Management Tools/Raster/Raster Dataset and open the Mosaic To New Raster Tool
- Next add your seperate img files by clicking on the folder icon next to Input Rasters
- Set an output location
- Give your output file a name, for instance: Testfile.BIL
- Select 16_BIT_UNSIGNED for the Pixel Type
- Set Number of Bands to "1" and finally hit the OK button.

After some time the program should finish writing your new bil file. Now you just need your Raster World File aka Header File. To genereate it, hit up the ArcToolbox again and open up the Export Raster World File Tool (ArcToolBox/Data Management Tools/Raster/Raster Properties/Export Raster World File). Then simply add your bil file and click on OK. You will find your header file in the output location of your bil with the extension ".blw".

Got it, and got the 1/9 ARC data in the game thanks a lot. :D Now it's time to just correct my track work. Surprisingly I wasn't that far off in height. Pictures of my route are coming soon.
