CSX Miami/SFRC Track Charts

Unread postby jonmorrie » Mon Feb 24, 2014 3:59 pm

Really interested in getting back into route building; yet to use the editor since the 2014 update. The google overlay should help a ton. Anyway, I'd really like to model the South Florida Rail Corridor (W. Palm Beach-Miami) but need track charts before I start. Would anyone know where to find such a thing? I'd be willing to pay for them if necessary. Thanks guys

"Life is like a journey, taken on a train
With a pair of travelers at each windowpane.
I may sit beside you all the journey through,
Or I may sit elsewhere, never knowing you.
But if fate should mark me to sit by your side,
Let's be pleasant travellers; it's so short a ride."

Covers the route, but unfortunately the route has changed drastically since 1990. Since then, they double tracked it and it's no longer owner by CSX. Thanks though

Not exactly the same, but I found charts for FEC. Maybe someone could help me understand this:

The key says:
NEx North End Speed Restriction xMPH
SEx South End Speed restriction xMPH

104.0 Ormond Beach SE60 NE45

Does this mean track speed is 60 southbound and 45 northbound?

You might need a set of operation rules (OR) to go along with your chart. The OR will tell you precisely (mileposts) where restrictions begin and end and how crews are to handle them.
Cheers!

If you would like a chart of the TRI-RAIL owned portion of the CSX route from Miami to West Palm Beach, simply draw a straight line from tax payer's wallets into the secret coffers of the SFRTA board of directors, with a couple of branch lines going off to crooked politician's purses.
