Hi Mike,

I can see where this would be an issue regarding using assets linked through the RouteProperties file, but the feature is only useful for a route author's own assets, as the others would not be included anyway. Could it be limited to the developer's product folder only?
Cheers!

I think everything except the Kuju folders would be better considering all the freeware we would be using. If we use Kuju stuff the user has to buy the addon packs to have them and we can't put them with the route anyway.

Exactly Marc. If we can have a window that pops up having the option to choose a provider/product directory then we can limit our search to something very managable. I dont need to look into kuju folders.

on the contrary you could create a function that highlights the assets used in a provider directory simultaneously leaving me an unhighlighted list of items not used to remove either manually or by a rw_tools button. Whichever is easiest.

OK, I will look a bit further, the problem is that just because you Bob know what you are doing, I have customers who have problems finding their way out of bed in the morning, and the first thing they will do is use functions they don't know about and then complain because their printer ran out of paper printing 1000 pages of things they don't know about...

Maybe if you type in the function in parentheses write "route developers only" !*don-know!*

inevitable someone will still ignore it though so... lol

Mike For some reason I cant save an edit to a engine.geo file but I can save and edit to a wagon.geo file. why is there an error with the former? Is there another way to successfully edit an engine .geo file?

Are you using the latest version of RW_Tools AND the latest serz.exe and the 2 .dll files associated with it. stlport_vc10.5.2.dll and zlibwapi.dll

It is serz.exe which converts the edited .geopcdx file back to a .bin type formatted file - For many years this did not work for RSC locos, but as far as I know the latest one does save these files OK.

OK for the original poster et al.

New v5.0.47 on my site now has option to display assets used and not used by a particular Provider in a particular Product folder.

Note - read the 'read me' you must read those used before you can see those not used.

Any bugs etc let me know.

I change the filename in the url to the 47 file and got it. Tried it on a route I am working on and got an error 9 when trying to display files that were used. Exited from that and it let me see what files were not used. I am at work now so I do not know what else the error message said but will report later today after work when I try some more. It was late when I did this last night.

Sorry about that, I have fixed the web page.

Bob, please send a copy of the error message and if possible a screen print of the whole screen direct to me as an attachment to
rwtools at live dot com dot au

Then I can see what has gone wrong (hopefully).

It did not do it the first time or second, but the third developer I chose it did this.

Hi Bob,

Looks like I did not clear a variable when running the routine, so when you tried one Provider after another the number of files increased dramatically. I think this is fixed now, please download the .exe file only for v5.0.48 from http://www.rstools.info/Public/RW_Tools.zip and let me know if this fixes the problem.

It still does it on the second provider.

Also I had a thought. The listing of files that are not used will be deleted by the route author. Your listing gives the full path to them, is there any way "del" could added to the beginning of each line then we could save the listing as a bat file and run it to delete all the assets and their children files in one swoop?
