It's getting to the point, where I only want to download certain authors scenarios from the Workshop, because so many of them are so bad. One of the interesting things about Workshop scenarios, is this. The "light for the time of day" is beyond a scenario writer's control. As to "trees in the middle of the engine ...", I imagine that you mean there are trees in the middle of a track: again, this kind of stupidity is almost certainly the fault of the route maker, not the scenario writer, although if the scenario writer parked an engine in the midst of the trees in the middle of the track ... (makes me want to sing, "And the green grass grows all around, all around ... "). Actually, "trees in the middle of the engine at Essex owned by the hotel" could keep a grammarian busy for hours! Let's see: which is or are owned by the hotel: the trees, the engine, Essex, or all of the above? Thanks for the laugh!

Which reminds me that DLC routes include numerous instances of not only flora (trees, shrubs, etc.) in the middle of tracks, but also switch stands, various poles, gantries, and so on -- I suppose you'd like to blame those on scenario writers?

I do agree that Elphaba's scenarios tend to be pretty good. Of course, I'm curious as to whether you've tried any of mine.

I don't know if I've tried any of yours.
Scenarios can definitely be a source of scenery errors. If a persons route was corrupted by meddling the wrong way, the scenery errors would get transferred over the same way as truck, equipment, and characters do when added to a scenario.

In any case I was referring to the retired Great Northern engine at Essex. I did have trees in the middle of it, but only in one scenario from the Workshop. At first I panicked, and thought my route had been corrupted, but a quick check in other scenarios proved the route itself was okay.
