As I believe that 844 has brakes on the tender wheels?

That's an interesting thought. The engine is going to communicate with the tender anyway to tell it when to apply its own brakes, so yes, I could also script the tender to lock its wheels. Thanks for the suggestion!

In more recent photos, the hole's been covered over - UP changed the piping so that the steam would come out further down and avoid dirtying the boiler jacket, but I've modelled it the way it was before.

Excellent work Mike! Keep it up!
evafan002 wrote:Why is it called a steam turret anyway? every time I see that name I keep looking for the .50 cals and I don't know why they call it a turret as in my mind a turret is something that holds something else and rotates

"Turret" pre-dates the age of tanks and battleships - remember that castles have turrets. The steam turret does hold something - steam. It's like the steam dome, except that the steam dome collects steam to go through the dry pipe to the steam chest and on through the valves to the cylinders, whereas the steam turret is near the backhead (the cab end of the boiler, where the firebox is) and distributes steam to the various appliances and steam-driven controls, through steam throttles. In the old steam locos, it looked a bit like the turret on a castle.
