Quick Drive Scenarios on Third Party Routes

Unread postby dick8299 » Thu Oct 17, 2013 10:32 am

I have been able to edit one of the Quick Drive scenarios on The Woodhead Line to add AI Traffic as well as a Static Consist. This is done by adding a Consist Spawn Marker and an AI Spawn Marker to the scenario and then using the associated flyouts to designate type of consist as well as destination for the AI Consist. I am quite happy with this functionality.

However, if I try to do the same thing on a Third Party Route, neither the Static Consist nor the AI Consist will appear in the Quick Drive scenario. The Player Consist appears with no problem.

I sent a request to RSC Support to try and understand what needs to be added to or edited in a Third Party Route to allow these two functions to work, but they refuse to supply any support for non RSC Content.

Does anyone have any experience in Quick Drive scenarios in Third Party Routes, or any ideas on what to pursue to make the Static Consist and AI Consist Spawn Markers functional?

Time for hacking then.
You should compare the blueprints for your Woodhead Line scenario and the one for the 3rd party route.
If you can't see an obvious difference, maybe it is in the route properties blueprints.

Through a lot of trial and error, I discovered how to make a consist blueprint for my route and place AI consists and static consist into the Quick Drive Scenario of my route.

However, after the latest update, the consist blueprints only work for built in routes not third party routes.
