Something that I have wondered about since the Cornell GP38's is the amount of air releases and clicking that goes on with the locomotives in RW. I've spent a lot of time as of late around the prototype and there is some release, but its not rapid fire like that. Even less so if they are connected to a consist.

An engine Bark or turbo Bark is what happens when the throttle is shut off quickly and the excess air pressure has nowhere to go but back out the inlet. The Bark is the air pressure going the wrong way through the turbo charger.
It is more commonly known as turbo flutter or in the UK as pigeoning.
If you look on YouTube for videos of tuned turbo cars you will hear it.
I've never heard a train doing it but my tuned Nissan 200sx makes a real good noise on lift off. The bigger the turbo the deeper the bark.

Guys, its going to be a while still so don't get too excited. Sit tight, relax and enjoy the blog posts.

For any newcomers (since the sale) a single locomotive can take anywhere from 3 month (if its your job) to over a year. We are certainly in the more lengthy category since we do this on our off time after our family and jobs.

The paint schemes for the CSX pack have been finalized. Video of the GP's in action available now at http://vrailcreations.net/csx.html . Forgive the warts, it is still a work-in-progress.

A question for you guys.

I'm currently building the Quick Drive scenarios for the CSX pack. I'm doing one for each distinctive locomotive, and a few multiple engines with freight drags.

What would you like to see in the QD consists? Keep in mind that some freight won't be available for us to use.
