Ugh.... 3dsMax 6

Unread postby RvA944 » Sun Jul 14, 2013 10:03 am

Hello All,

Well I was hoping my first post would have been about posting something cool in the file library, but noooooooo, it's got to be asking for help. *!rolleyes!*

I finaly got WinXP installed on my SSD drive, and 3DsMax 6 up and running. So I added the Kuju Plugins in the StdPlugs folder, dropped the cfgs files in the plugcfg folder, added this to the plugin.ini file
Kuju Material =C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju
loaded up max 6, and I get this:

DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.FogLinker.dlu> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.CustonHelpers.dlo> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.CPVAdjust.dml> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.CPVBlur.dlm> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.CPVNuke.dlm> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.AceTags.dlm> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.PloyMap.dlm> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.SimFMod.dlm> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.VertexAlpha.dlm> is not made for this version of the program - not loading
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.SimMaterial.dlt> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.IAExport.dle> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.IGExport.dle> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.
DLL <C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju\Kuju.ACEImage.bmi> failed to initialize. Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.

Does anyone have any clues as to what I might have screwed up, or, what could be missing from my system that might be the cause of this?

Best,

Roger

Hi

try thus .. remove Kuju folder from MaxRoot/Plugins and the 5 files you placed into plugcfg folder .. replace these with the Max 7 files and see what happens.

edit .. make sure that you copy the current App.fbk file from your railworks folder into your max plugcfg folder.

OK a little headway.......

When I put the 6 files in along with the app.fbk from the Railsim in, I get the same errors. When I put the 7 files in I don't get the " - is not made for this version of the program - not loading" error anymore, but I still get the "Error Code 127 - The specified procedure could not be found". It's like there is a DLL missing somewhere.

can you post your plugin.ini file ... a 127 error in this instance indicates a pathing error i.e. max can't find the files.

from your first post ... Kuju Material =C:\3dsmax6\StdPlugs\Kuju ... StdPlugs is wrong location

should read ... Kuju plugins=C:\3dsmax6\plugins\kuju\ ... plugins is correct location

Where " C:\3dsmax6 " will indicate the path to your max install foldder

and make sure you have placed the plugins in the correct folder.

Hi ,Yes,but,

you have this >> Kuju=C:\3dsmax6\plugins\kuju7\ ... see you here have the number 7 in the line

it must be like this >> Kuju plugins=C:\3dsmax6\plugins\kuju\ ... you should not have the number 7 in the path or in the folder name , it needs to be just "kuju"

?

Hmm ? not sure what may be the problem, this should work and see Here that it has worked before.

Only suggestion at this time is to delete kuju folder and the plugins, delete the files that were placed in the plugincfg, delete the line in the plugin.ini file , start max as normal to check all still works and then try again.

Well the other machine works just fine.................. !**duh*!! I used the Max 7 files as the 6 files crapped out. I also had to add the default.lfb file (from the version 8) to the plugcfg as it's missing from the 7 files and boom loaded clean, expoted a shape. So, there is something missing from the other machine. !*hp*!

Nope......... worked on this beast for about 51/2 hours tonight trying to figure it out. Still at square one. But I can model here and export on the other machine for now atleast. I got tired of working on the that so I playing with max again a little tonight. Wanted to see if I could still model. Been a little while since my last train build. I have a long, long way to go but it's only a couple of hours old soooooooo.......
