R&WA GP9

Unread postby ATSF3814 » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:35 am

I already posted a few WIP shots of this in thecanadianrail's thread about the R&WA company and since then, I've made some adjustments to it and I think it's almost ready for a release:

That came out pretty good. !!*ok*!!

Why the R&WA reporting mark still on the cab?

I just kind of liked how it looked. You think I should take it off?

I was thinking it should be either R&WA RR or H&B RR, although I guess the H&B could be a subsidiary of R&WA. *!greengrin!*

I don't think it looks bad, just sort of contradictory. Then again, it's your repaint.

Let's see what others have to say. *!!wink!!*

Ah ok. The reason I put R&WA was because some of Michael's boxcars have the Hawk & Badger logo on them but R&WA as the reporting mark so I figured they were one in the same. Kind of like how the St. Louis Southwestern railway was better known as Cotton Belt, maybe the Richburgh & Western Alleghanies railway was better known as Hawk & Badger.

Good point.

I really don't think there's anything cut in stone about that railroad. !*roll-laugh*!

The Hawk & Badger is just my other web site, centered around Railroad Tycoon, and a little bit of stuff for MSTS.

I've made a couple more small tweaks and now I can honestly say I'm happy with it:

The last things to do are make new numbers and set up the autonumbering. I think 100 road numbers should be enough.

Just asking, because I don't know, but, shouldn't there be road numbers on the sides of the cab, instead of R&WA RR? Or maybe above that?

Otherwise, very nice work! I like it! !!*ok*!! !*salute*!

The numbers aren't there because I haven't made the number textures yet. That's the next thing to do.

And thank you!
