The making of QMI_13 G-12 locomotive

This is the first in a progressive serie aiming at unraveling the G12 diesel loco asset file structure and to, eventually, simplify future repaints.
The G12 engine is built on the modular programming blocks concept, here 3D graphical entities, named childs, We have been used, til now, to have the entire 3d structure within the basic engine ",geopcdx" file: as a demo, I am starting with the basic engine module without links to any "child file". This basic module shows only the chassis and wheel arrangement components. We can also see the floating text logo : (just this piece of rolling stock can make a special addon heading to the reaper shop or scrap yard
).
The next posting will have this basic module plus the first child ... let's see what we shall discover?
