as a static scenery element. What code do I need to edit or remove to make RW2 think it's a building instead of a piece of rolling stock? TIA

Create a folder for your new static object.

Paste the bin file for an existing static object into it, renaming it appropriately.

Paste the GeoPcDx file for your desired object, as well as the Texture folder with TgPcDx file into the folder.

Use RW_Tools or other similar utility to edit the bin file to point to your desired GeoPcDx file.

Change the display name of the bin file also.

That should do it.

It may be more efficient to just paste the copied scenery bin file in the same folder as the railcar, that way you wouldn't have to move the texures and the GeoPcDx file.
