Good evening,
I am fairly new around here, and to the train sim community as well. But I have really had a lot of fun with the creation side of things. I am working on a box car repaint since its pretty simple to start and practice with. I can get the car repainted fine, its in game and looks good. But when I try to repaint the logo, I am getting stuck. I follow the same procedure, export my dds, open in dxtbmp, edit (also exported, edited, and re-imported the alpha channel), save.

The problem is that when I save the updated dds from dxtbmp, it just doesn't change. It is still the same dds that I originally exported from RSBin.

I hope I am just dumb and missing something stupid simple, but if anyone knows this issue and can help, I would greatly appreciate it!

You said you saved it. Did you import DDS Data using the DDSTool tab first?

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask when you need a little help.

But yes I did. Just to be clear:

1.Open with RSBin; 2. Export dds; 3 open with dxtbmp and do editing steps; 4 save with dxtbmp; 5 import dds in RSBin; 6 save

Following those specific steps works fine for the body of the rolling stock. It works in game A-OK
But when I follow those exact same steps it doesn't work. In fact I can say almost certainly it is an issue somewhere between step 3 and 4. For the edits to the body, as soon as I made the saves in DXTBMP, I could see the changes on the .dds file's thumbnail. However, the thumbnail for the logo's .dds never updates.

I can probably make a quick video on my lunch break showing exactly what I am doing and what is going wrong if that helps!

In order:
1.body opened in rsbin
2. ds opened in dxtbmp
3. edited body
4. importing edited dds in rsbin
5. edited body in rsbin
6. logo opened in rsbin
7. logo opened in dxtbmp
8. edited logo and alpha in dxtbmp
9. importeing edited logo into rsbin
10. "edited" logo in rsbin

This is actually more than I have gotten in the past. My previous attempts just showed the original CSX logo as if nothing had changed at all.
