Rear coupler and coupler on next car completely disappear

Unread postby TheKman » Sun Feb 06, 2022 1:30 am

After around a 6 month cooling off period, I went back to try adding the couplers to one of the freight cars I designed. Got better results this time around but still a bit of of a mixed bag.

My front coupler completely works. The rear coupler does couple up, but then complexly disappears along with the coupler from the other car I'm attempting to couple to.
Obviously I have a issue with the rear...... Coupling pivot point or the receiving point, maybe something else....

Any ideas from the peanut gallery?

It's still a small victory. Last serval times I couldn't get nothing to work

A typo, like a missing minus sign in the coordinates of the pivot point or other object?

I'm figuring that might be it, but I think it's correct. I'll have to look it over again more closely.

The couplers only disappear when trying to couple to the next car. The rear coupler completely works when I couple a engine to it. Coupling to the next car produces Romulan Cloaking Device results.
I get the same results when coupling another freight car in front and behind said cloaking device. One coupler shows, the other doesn't.

Got it fixed. Problem was within the coupling blueprint. Pivot type wasn't mid point. I had selected "coupling pivot". CRS is getting worse and I'm only 56!! **!!bang!!**

So, after I don't know...a few years I finally got it correct. Could have been all this time I had the pivot type incorrect. I could still use my cars before hand, bit the couplers were "fixed". There were mounted directly to the model. Only way at the time I could get anything to work. Problem with that was the sim tended to crash when coupling my cars to other cars I didn't make. Sometimes I was able to add 2-3 cars to mine before it crashed, but most times it took only one.

So now I need to bear done and figure out the see thru windows stuff. That is still kicking me in the pa-tooty.
