Need help with couplers

Unread postby Jurien72 » Tue Sep 14, 2021 12:42 am

Hi everyone! This is my first post here, so please be gentle. I've managed to create my first locomotive in Blender, and got it imported to the game and it goes up and down the track. It looks ridiculous but hey, it works. Now I need to do something about couplers. Yes, I have been searching for days for an answer. I have come across a few posts, but many of them date back 10 years or so - I'm not sure if the information in them is out of date or what.

So, what's my question? I have seen people post that it is possible to borrow couplers from somewhere else - great! I have tried and tried to get something to export from the Blueprint Editor, but it just keeps failing. I just read a post on here that said not to include the couplers in the export... I have no idea how to go about doing that. I also have no couplers in my RSC folder. I do have some couplers in Kuju/Railsimulator folder, but it won't let me put that in the XML file. Copying the files into my Source folder has not worked either.

If somebody could give me a push in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. I'm just totally stuck on this!

Thanks!

There was always a substitution set of couplers from BritKits that worked well. As far as placement there is a good tutorial in the learning section about the somewhat confusing numbers for placement.

I found a post by GreatNortherner where he linked to a set of his couplers. I put them on the model and they work perfectly! Thanks so much to him!

Edit: I tried downloading the ones from Britkits and the link on the site was broken.
