Numberboard Issue

Hello all, I am trying to get back into the swing of repainting and modifying locomotives for TS2020. I started with a simple project of making a BNSF nose headlight SD70MAC from the Alaska SD70MAC. I have pretty well stumbled my way into getting the 9959 child object from the MLW enhancement pack attached to the locomotive. But, I have not been able to get the numberboards to work. Attached is a screenshot showing my issue, I have alpha'd out the running numbers and done anything I can think of to get it to work. At this point I would just be happy with painted on numberboards but the black is blocking the textured numberboards.
