kinda... were you thinking?

Update: Oddly I cannot find any find any references to an E unit using the black widow schema. One book claims that all of SP's first F and FP units came only in it.

Another interesting note, but off topic. The Blue Streak (which you made a 1940's box of) was running in name only well past 1974. :D

yea, yea, can't sleep.

Yes, that was the inspiration for this one. I may go ahead and upload it as a whimsey.

Mike, you amaze me. Next to the Warbonnet, the Black Widow is my favorite livery. Very nice work, once again! **!!bow!!**

Mike, could you make the Arizona Eastern? Just to honor this (until now) unheard of Class III?

To those who are interested here is what Wiki says:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_Eastern_Railway

I wonder if Dick would be able to quickly hammer out an E8/E9 (they used the same body) for us based on his E7?

OK, you twisted my arm! I'll pack these together in one package.

Image

Note the blacked out non-working top light, and other specific features. I'll take off the lifting rings, as 6070 didn't have them.

The SP only had 5 E7A units delivered (#6000 - #6004. One A unit was rebuilt as number 6017) And they were painted into 3 scheme during their careers.

- Golden State (sets 6000,6001 and 6002): http://espee.railfan.net/nonindex/e-uni ... erenyi.jpg
- Daylight (sets 6003 and 6004): Note photo shows the 6000 as it was painted into this scheme later in life http://espee.railfan.net/nonindex/e-uni ... jewell.jpg
- Bloody Nose (all sets painted by 1965): http://espee.railfan.net/nonindex/e-uni ... engler.jpg

Perfect, through the Golden State scheme looks more red to me then orange in the photo. Unless vermilion red looks that way, not sure. Awesome work non the less! !!*ok*!!

Mike, you're a time machine... and it's awesome.

I hope you will add a brief history in the Readme, or something to get the downloader hooked into looking it up on Wikipedia or espee.railfain.net.

I was a little unhappy with the color as well. Rather than mess with the main color layer, I added a transparency and put about 11% density yellow on it. The result was a more orange body, and the cream looks better too.

This is the Rock Island pair of the set. Yes, I said set... passenger cars as well.
