Well Buzz, my experience is limited to looking at .bin files of European passenger cars, such as provider Thomson - Arosa lin and or Bernina. There, each passenger is an indivisual child; yep quite tedious, especially if it's done by trial-and-error by tweaking the X,Y and Z parameters.
If you are flexible, you could copy and paste one of those .bin file and paste it in your own file, with the risq that the figures do not correspond to the window space. It may speed up the location refinement as most would appear somewhere. Best I can suggest.
